Guy Sigurd Sleipnes

With profound love and sadness, we announce the passing of Guy Sigurd Sleipnes, who died peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 81 in Seattle, Washington. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, veteran, and pharmacist. Guy’s life was marked by service, integrity, and a steady commitment to those he loved.

Guy was born in Seattle, Washington in 1944, to Russell and Myrtle Sleipnes. He attended Lincoln High School before joining the U.S. Navy, where he proudly served during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Dixie destroyer. Following his honorable discharge, Guy continued his journey of service by earning a pharmaceutical degree and dedicating his career to healthcare.

A man of quiet strength and dependable kindness, Guy brought comfort and care to everyone he encountered. Whether at work or with his family, he lived by code of honesty and responsibility. He had a deep respect for nature, a sharp intellect, and a warm sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Guy is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Katherine; his children, Andrew and Lauren; his sister Penny and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will carry his memory forward. Guy is preceded in death by his dearly loved grand-dog Jack.

A ceremony and burial will be held to honor Guy’s life and service on June 23, 2025, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington.
