Taylor Kyle Winn

Our beloved Taylor Kyle Winn, age 44, passed on Feb 2, 2026 in Seattle. Taylor was born March 14, 1981 at Kadlec, Richland WA. He is the son of Wendy Richards (Winn), Seattle and Kyle Winn, Mesa AZ. Born with serious challenges he & Kyle were flown to Children’s NICU/Seattle. I left Kadlec the next day and joined them. Diagnosed with HRHS/Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome; meaning he was born with 3/4 of his heart and lung issues. His first surgery he was 4 days old. We were blessed to hold him for the first time. At 2-1/2 he had open heart surgery.

Growing up Taylor loved sports, video games, school and more. A Southridge 2000 grad, and worked in retail at 17 for 23 years; excited to get his first apartment and more independence. Taylor loved his family, friends, sports, comedy, music, photography and more. Taylor was proud to be part of UW Med Center’s ACHD program with sincere appreciation for his cardiologists and he inspired them.

Taylor is survived by his mom Wendy Richards (Seattle), his dad Kyle (Camille) Winn (AZ); his sister Maxine (Ryan) Sumner and his 3 nephews (TX). Also by aunts and uncles Robin (Mike) Madison, Tracy Richards, Jyl Bartol, Jason Richards, Vancort (Shantelle) Richards; cousins and step-brothers/step sisters. Taylor’s beloved grandparents passed on before him. They are Vancort (Bob) and Sydney Richards, William (Papa Bill) and Katie Winn.

Taylor is a bright light of what’s possible when facing life’s challenges. He is remembered for his kindness, humor, willingness to for- give and his calm courage to live life on his terms. Maxine plans to take Taylor’s earthly remains and place them next to Papa Bill’s gravesite with a marker in Winn Cemetery, Marquez TX.
