Marguerite Elizabeth Dolack, nee Mc Dougall, lifelong resident of Tacoma, Washington
and most recently of Seattle, passed away peacefully on  May 24, 2025  having just
celebrated her 100th birthday.

Marguerite attended grade school in Tacoma at St. Patrick’s elementary and high school
at Aquinas Academy.  She started her college education at Tacoma Catholic Women’s
College when the War intervened. After the War, her brother introduced her to his buddy
from Bellarmine high school,  Richard (Dick) Dolack.  The introduction sparked a
romance that lasted more than 70 years and produced three children, Marie Elizabeth,
Richard Joseph, Jr. (Carleen) and G. Lee Dolack (Toldy); four grandchildren, Kerstyn,
Lauren, George and Joe.

Marguerite resumed her college education at Tacoma Community College and the
University of Puget Sound while raising  three children.  She served on the Board of
Directors at Bellarmine Prep. Marguerite and Dick were founding members of St.
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.  She hauled her kids to many sporting and social
activities in her “hot” red country squire station wagon.

In her free time, Marguerite cultivated a beautiful flower garden that on more than one
occasion prompted drivers to stop, ask questions and ask permission to photograph.
She loved playing bridge and belonged to more than one bridge group.  Marguerite also
supported the charitable and spiritual mission of Catholic Women’s Club as a member
and served as its president.

She and Dick joined the Tacoma Country and Golf Club where she played for fun and in
local tournaments.  Making a “hole in one” was a special accomplishment and a source
of great pride for her.  Throughout her life she was always physically active.  She swam
laps at the YMCA and later joined water aerobics.
Finally, through a long and productive life, Marguerite remained her own person.  She
read prodigiously and followed politics.  She did not hesitate to voice her opinions.  She
valued her friends. She was loved and will be missed.

Her graveside memorial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery Tacoma on August 1st, 2025 at 10:00 am.
