Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
Anna Lauren Zornes Daily was born January 12, 1990, at Group Health Hospital in Redmond, Washington, to Lauren Anderson and David Zornes. She joined her big brother, Larson, at home and quickly became a beloved part of the family.
Anna passed away from pancreatic cancer on August 8, 2026, at the Hospice Care Center in Kirkland, Washington. The last three months of her life were the hardest. By the end, the chemotherapy was no longer working, and the cancer had spread to her spine and pelvis, leaving her unable to walk or sit up and causing tremendous pain.
Throughout her entire cancer journey, Anna worked hard to maintain a positive attitude. She never simply accepted that there were no more options. She talked with her doctor about every treatment possibility that was suggested, carefully considered his advice, discussed the pros and cons, and then made her decision to continue treatment. Her palliative care doctor also played an important role in helping manage both the symptoms of the cancer and the side effects of the medications. Anna fought as hard as she could for as long as she could.
Anna graduated from Eastlake High School in Sammamish in June 2008. That August, through mutual friends, she met the love of her life, Cody Daily. From that time on, they never dated anyone else. Their relationship quickly became a lifelong partnership.
Anna graduated from Bellevue College in June 2009 with an Associate Degree in Arts and Sciences. That fall, she began attending the University of Idaho. She spent a couple of years there, and eventually Cody moved to Idaho to be with her. During their time there, they made wonderful, lifelong friends and created many memories together. When Anna decided that earning a college degree was not part of her plans, she and Cody moved back to the Pacific Northwest.
In 2012, after Anna’s grandfather, Andy Anderson, died, her grandmother, Dorothy Anderson, decided she wanted a tattoo. Grandma Dorothy had never gotten one while her husband was alive and had even threatened her daughter and granddaughter that she would disown them if either of them ever got one! Apparently, she had been thinking about it, because less than a month after Andy died, she announced that she wanted a tattoo. Anna immediately took charge, found a place, and made all the arrangements. On November 9, 2012, Anna, her mom Lauren, and Grandma Dorothy got matching rose tattoos—a special memory the three of them shared forever.
Anna worked a variety of jobs over the years, including nanny, receptionist, bookkeeper, and house cleaner, until she took over her dad’s business, Reflect-a-Life, in 2015. She initially stayed in Tacoma to learn the business, eventually moved it to Redmond, and finally set up a shop at her own home. Her commute became a very manageable 30 steps from her house to her shop! She loved having her business so close to home, but sadly had to give it up after her cancer diagnosis.
Anna and Cody’s family grew in September 2018 when their daughter, Kailee Lynn Daily, was born. On November 19, 2018, Anna and Cody eloped and were married at the bottom of Snoqualmie Falls. Their son, Andy Lee Daily, joined the family in May 2021.
Anna loved her children and her husband fiercely. They were the center of her world. When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in June 2024, there was nothing she wanted more than to live as long as possible so she could be with her family. She fought with incredible determination until the very end, when the cancer and pain finally took over.
Anna is survived by her husband, Cody; her children, Kailee and Andy; her mother, Lauren; her brother, Larson; and aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the family. She was preceded in death by her father, David Zornes; her grandparents, Bruce and Clarice Zornes; and her grandparents, Dorothy and Andy Anderson.
This cancer journey would have been impossible without the love and support of so many family members and friends. The countless prayers, good vibes, positive energy, encouragement, meals, visits, messages, and acts of kindness carried Anna and her family through some incredibly difficult days.
Thank you to everyone who loved Anna, supported her, prayed for her, and walked alongside our family throughout this journey. We will forever be grateful.
