Bridget Nicole Poputa-Clean (Shuck), lost the battle with brain cancer at age 33 in her home surrounded by family who loved her dearly on February 21, 2022. Born to Mark and Tina Shuck on November 18, 1988 in Alva, OK, Bridget grew up crushing it at basketball in Enid, OK, and graduated from Oklahoma Bible Academy in 2007.

She beasted a double major at Oklahoma City University where she met her husband, Paul Poputa-Clean. She received her MBA from Oklahoma University in 2014. They welcomed their son Adam in March 2016 and their daughter Alina in September 2019. Bridget spent her career at Prosperity Bank in Oklahoma and CardTapp in Washington State.

Bridget had a wide range of interests that brought her joy. She loved playing and watching sports, cheering on the OSU Cowboys, performing in her local theater, visiting new and exciting places astride a motorcycle, celebrating all things Christmas, and hiking in the great outdoors.

Bridget is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Louie and Arletta ‘Sandy’ Primm. She leaves behind her husband, children, parents, sister Leslie Shuck, brother Trey Shuck, paternal grandparents Jon ‘Max’ and Nelda Shuck, several awesome aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and a chasm in the world.

A fierce friend and fighter for justice, she delighted in glamping annually with her close friends and making her voice heard at women’s marches. Her final unfinished projects were visiting all the National Parks and writing an interfaith children’s book. Her ashes will nourish saplings in a national park she would have visited next.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Oklahoma City University Chapel on March 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The National Brain Tumor Society on Bridget’s behalf (https://nbtsevents.braintumor.org/bridgetpoputaclean) or cook a meal for a struggling friend.
