Obituaries

Carol Lynne Soderberg, 78, of Seattle, Washington, passed away on February 27, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1945, in Franklin, New Jersey, to the late Sven and Eva Soderberg.

She is survived by her daughters, Aimee (Michael) Simon and Jennifer (Richard) Silva, her sister Barbara (Soderberg) Raines, two grandchildren Tyler and Kaitlyn Simon, and two nephews Tim and Kevin Raines. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Bruce Harabes.

Carol graduated from Montclair High School in New Jersey in 1963. She married Bruce Harabes in August 1966.  They were married for 18 years.

Carol moved to Seattle Washington where she pursued a successful career in Human Resources.  Carol’s dedication to her work left a lasting impact on her colleagues.

Carol was a loving wife and mother.  She also had a deep affection for her pets and passed her love for animals onto her children.  Carol loved life and the simple things in it like a sunny day at the beach.

No memorial services are planned for Carol. The family will be holding a private ceremony to honor her life and legacy. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
