Obituaries

On the 24th December 2020 it was with great sadness that Henry Charles Melville Watkinson, (Chuck) our eighty-six-year-old sweet dad passed away after a short illness. He most recently lived at the Elder Home Care, West Seattle where he was cared for with love and respect.
Born 27 Jan 1934 in Westbury on Trym, Bristol and educated at Marlborough College and Cambridge University. He completed his National Service with the British Army and Officer Training at Sandhurst and was awarded, by Princess Anne, Cadet of the Year.

His first job was with Bristol Aeroplane Company, Bristol. His career path in the aircraft industry took him all over the world, living and working in the UK, New York, Montreal, Vancouver, California and finally with Boeing in Seattle, Washington. During his retirement he lived in both New Zealand and Oceanside, California and continued to travel to the many destinations on his bucket list.

He leaves behind Sheena Watkinson and their 2 surviving daughters Susie and Nikki and their son Mark, who sadly passed away January 2020. His grandchildren, Guy and Liam in New Zealand, Luke and Makenna in Washington, his son in law, Geoff and daughter in law, Patty, will all miss him greatly.
