Jesse Che Ramirez of Seattle, Washington passed away on January 14, 2022 at the age of 46. He was born on January 7, 1976 in Hammond, Indiana to Jesse R. Ramirez, Sr. and Ruby Liggins who affectionally referred to her son by his middle name Che. During early childhood, Ruby moved to Los Angles, California with Jesse and his older sister and brother, twins Alicia and Maurice. He spent his adolescence and teenage years in Tacoma, Washington with his mother, Alicia, Maurice, along with two younger brothers, Antonio Liggins and Bilal Liggins. Their close-knit family often joked and playfully teased each other. Jesse told the most hilarious stories about growing up with his siblings and cousin Money Liggins. He was known for his talents as a break dancer and rapper.

In 1994, Jesse and Heather began their 27-year journey together as life partners. In 1999, they started a family in Seattle and welcomed the birth of their first child, Arianna Maria Ramirez. In 2003, the couple married at the Shilshole Bay Marina. Two years later in 2005, they welcomed the birth of their second child, Cesar Che Ramirez. Jesse loved traveling with his wife and children to the Caribbean and just about any beach. He forever will be remembered as an extremely devoted father and engaged parent in all facets of his children’s lives.

Jesse graduated from Clover Park High School and later studied at Pierce College. Jesse spent the majority of his career in sales. Along the way, he was an original co-founder of a clothing business with his brother Maurice and a startup with his brother Bilal. However, Jesse’s true passion rooted from fitness training and inspiring others. His vison to design dynamic lifestyle and exercise regimens came to fruition when he founded Benzbody Fitness, LLC.

In continuing to celebrate Jesse’s life and legacy, we will never forget his wit, charm, humor, one of a kind laugh, unfiltered talk, philosophical thought, motivational advice, physical strength, dedication to family, and carpe diem spirit towards life.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife Heather and their two beloved children Arianna and Cesar, all of Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by his father, Jesse R. Ramirez, Sr. of Marysville, Indiana; and his extremely devoted mother, Ruby Liggins of Seattle, Washington. Jesse is preceded in death by his highly admired youngest brother, Bilal (Lashonya) Liggins formally of Bellevue, Washington; and brother Tivi Delgado formally of Hammond, Indiana. Jesse leaves behind his dear sisters and brothers, Alicia (Eric) James of Tempe, Arizona; Maurice (LaWanna) Ramirez of Tacoma, Washington; Antonio (Tierra) Liggins of Tacoma, WA; Herman (Theresa) Delgado; Santiago (Jenny) Delgado; Amber (Gabriel) Polo; Jesse R. (Laura) Ramirez, Jr.; Ernesto Ramirez; and Victor (Margarita) Ramirez; all of whom live in Indiana. Finally, he leaves behind both grandmothers along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and close friends.

A private celebration of life party for immediate family will be held in Lakewood, Washington on February 12, 2022, and sky lantern memorial at the Tacoma Waterfront on February 13, 2022. We encourage you to share any fond memories or kind thoughts in the guestbook. Jesse will remain forever young in our hearts and on our minds.

The journey through life can be bitter or sweet, so enjoy it on a full stomach but watch what you eat. Breath in the fresh air, embrace the nature around you, but don’t be foolish and forget the monsters that surround you. Keep your mind at peace, cherish your heart with love, starve your body of self-doubt, appreciate your time with gratitude, stay silent in your thought, and stand strong on your faith, it is our holy place.
