Obituaries

John David Imhoff was born May 17th 1953 in Spokane, WA. He died April 28th 2017 in Seattle, WA. He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Mary, his sisters Terry Smithwick and Marian Fuchs and his brothers Joe and Gerry. He is survived by his sisters, Judy Long (Ron), Margo Imhoff, Chris Imhoff (Ann Frankel), Jennifer Imhoff his brother-in-law Mark Fuchs and numerous nieces and nephews.

John attended St. Aloysius grade school, Gonzaga Prep and Seattle University where he graduated with a degree in Philosophy. He had a long career in the computer industry. 

John loved music from Mozart to Piaf, from Patsy Cline to Janis Joplin. He was intellectually curious. We treasure his posts on everything from the economy to exotic recipes. He named each of his house plants and played music to help them grow. He loved Seattle, wandering the Pike Place market, soaking up the diversity and cacophony that is Capital Hill.

He was a light spirit. We’re comforted to know that today he is looking with wonder at his new life. Burial is at Holy Cross Cemetery. A private family memorial is planned.
