I swam with Livia at Evans pool. She inspired me with her dedication to early morning swimming, amazed me with her many colorful life stories, and gifted me a homemade baby blanket when I had my daughter. She was tough and generous and mischievous. She served as matriarch wherever she went. Her eyes quite literally twinkled. I will never ever forget her and feel so lucky to have been in her orbit. What a force!
