With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Patty Jacobsen, a devoted family member, who left an incredible mark on the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Born on April 21, 1935, in Jacobson, Minnesota. Patty moved to Oregon where she graduated from John Day Highschool. Eventually Patty migrated to Washington where she settled and enjoyed an amazing career as a dental office manager in North Seattle.
Patty was preceded in death by her husband Ray Jacobsen. In a twist of fate Patty met Ray, the love of her life, 30 years ago. They were true soulmates and enjoyed years of love and companionship. Patty was preceded in death by sons Tim and Kevin. She is survived by children Jim Blakley (Cindy) Michael Blakley, Margo Blakley Cervantes and her stepchildren Raye Lynn, Kari and Kal. Patty is survived by her grandchildren Jimmy, Leann, Analise, Alison (Andrew), Rachel and Cruz as well as many cherished step grandchildren, cousins and other very dear relatives and friends.
Patty was passionate about her Finnish heritage and her extended family. She always welcomed the opportunity to share stories of her interesting life with friends and family. She found true happiness in the simple things – a new recipe, a good book to read. Patty found great joy in collecting cookbooks – her kitchen was a place of endless creativity, where she experimented with recipes. Cooking was her art, and sharing those meals was how she expressed her love. She was a passionate reader and enjoyed family game nights and was a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks.
Patty will be remembered for her warmth, her wisdom, and her generous spirit. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
In respecting Patty’s wishes there will not be a formal service. To honor her, the family kindly requests that you share your favorite memories, stories, or messages of remembrance here. Your words will bring comfort and keep Patty’s spirit alive in our hearts.
Rest in peace momma Pat. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten. We love you.
