I'm saddened to hear of Joel's passing. Since I moved to Seattle in '91 Joel had been a guy I was lucky enough to befriend down at his studio across from the Moore. I loved his fine art and dark sophistication. He was someone I regarded as an elder figure to be respected and looked up to. He was kind to me and I often ran into him around town or Capitol Hill when he was trucking about to and fro on some artistic endeavor. Joel Radcliffe you were a singular man of style. Well done. 93

Joel. Old friend it is time for you to rest but I will never forget our times together. You taught me so much and gave me a skill that will endure. I'm lighting a smoke for you and playing the Stones loud. Here's to you!
