John Morgan, 70, of  Hansville Washington, died December 31, 2017 from respiratory complications precipitated by a fall. He was surrounded by his wife and children at the University of Washington Medical Center.

Mr. Morgan was born January 1, 1947, in Alameda, California, to Jess Roy and Hope Morgan. Both were World War II veterans. John also served in the US Army from 1966–1969. John lived most of his life in Southern California and was retired from The California Division of Juvenile Justice, previously known as the California Youth Authority, where he taught some of California’s most serious youth offenders.
