I met John in graduate school in Claremont around 1977, and Babette as well. From the get go, John was funny, snarky, and always searching. He laughed frequently at the ironies of art and life. He was always genuine and honest, and I knew that John was a true friend, artist, and thinker. I have many fond memories from that time. My love to Babette and family , and I am so sorry for your loss.

I send my heartfelt condolences from Munich, Germany. Although I have met John Morgan, this amazing man, only once, in Rancho Cucamonga, in the nineties, I know he has been Babette‘s lifelong love and soul partner. Much love to you, Babette and to your children.

John and I were married on February 10, 1979 in my parents living room. . We met in December of 1975 at a Christmas party but we didn’t start to date until February of 1976. We were both students at Cal State San Bernardino at the time. John was working towards his BA in Furniture Design and I was working on my teaching credential. Our first date was movie and dinner we went to see “All the Presidents Men” and ate dinner at Acapulcos. We fell in love on that very first date and have been together ever since. I love and miss you so much John.
