“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing”. II Timothy 4:7-8 Enjoy your eternal reward Kathleen! Your hope and faithfulness in the midst of the battle was worn with grace, dignity and dependence on the Savior. The mantra you and Dave recited each morning regarding choosing light over darkness (in Jesus name) was evident in the beautiful smile you wore throughout the journey. Your courage strengthened and will continue to strengthen me. Dave, you cherished Kathleen and cared for her with utmost respect and tenderness and it was such a blessing to witness. Kathleen came into my life a year ago. I only wish I had been able to enjoy many years of friendship with this beautiful soul. Praise to the One who will ultimately abolish death and mourning and wipe away tears forever!

What a wonderful privilege and blessing it was for us to get to spend a couple of precious weeks with Kathleen and David just a month or so ago. Kathleen shared such a courageous spirit in the midst of challenges that were very difficult, always smiling. We were greatly blessed by the depth of her trust in the Lord and it was wonderful to hear about the devotional times that she and David shared each morning. Our memories from just the two short weeks that we shared are filled with special times of interesting conversation, insights into her journey with God, and her determination to keep the faith despite the challenges with her heath. We are so grateful for both Kathleen and David and cherish the memory of such an amazing friend who has now fallen asleep, and the blessing of a great man who faithfully walked with her every step on this difficult journey. May God bless bring comfort and strength.
